Anti Ragging Committee:
The Principal is in charge of the College’s Anti-Ragging Cell. This was put together following the current UGC guidelines. The Principal himself informs the College’s freshmen and senior students on the rules and regulations pertaining to ragging at the beginning of each academic year. In turn, the Cell instructs the relevant departments and the Students’ Union to closely monitor the students and to report any undesirable incidents right away so that the proper action can be taken. The institution follows a zero-tolerance policy for such unwanted incidents. This pervasive culture may be one of the reasons that no ragging incidents have happened yet.

Mekliganj College has a robust mechanism in the form of an anti-ragging committee and an anti-ragging squad to oversee and regulate any ragging incident.
