Internal Complaints Committee
About:
Mekliganj College constantly strives to offer a wholesome and welcoming environment to its faculty, staff and students. The UGC has recommended that higher education institutions must establish an Internal Complaints Committee, which the college has done. The aforementioned committee oversees the prevention of sexual harassment, maintains a zero-tolerance policy for gender-based violence, and manages a gender-sensitization programme to assess, support, and assist all students and employees at the institution as well as handle any complaints of harassment.
Given the recommendations of the UGC, Mekliganj College has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee as per Section 4(1) of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
